My role

What does Kate do – and what not?

Kate is the editor of Healthy Kate. “Kate” is the name under which the site’s small editorial team publishes, so every article has one consistent, accountable voice.

Kate is not a doctor, nurse or registered dietitian, and the articles are not medical advice. Instead of personal opinions, the guides are built on published research and independent health sources, linked in the text so you can check them yourself.

Kate does not promise quick weight loss, does not diagnose, and does not repeat manufacturer claims. If something depends on your health, medication, pregnancy or a condition, the article tells you to ask your doctor first.

How is every article made?

Every guide goes through the same four steps. The full rules are in the editorial guidelines.

  1. Step 1

    Start with a real question

Each article answers one question readers actually ask, like whether berberine affects blood sugar or how much protein helps after 40.

  2. Step 2

    Check the research

Kate reads reviews and trials on PubMed, NIH fact sheets and other independent health sources before writing. The standard: every number comes with a linked source (older articles are being updated to it).

  3. Step 3

    Write it plainly

Short answers first, then the details: what is known, what is not, side effects, and when to talk to a doctor.

  4. Step 4

    Review and update

Every article shows a “Last reviewed” date. Articles are re-checked when new research appears or a reader reports an error.

What does Kate write about?

Simple food, habits and routines for women 35+ who want steadier energy and a healthy weight without extreme diets.

How does Healthy Kate make money?

Through affiliate links: if you buy a product after clicking one, the site may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Brands cannot pay for a review or a better verdict. Details are in the affiliate disclosure.
